First and foremost, let me take this opportunity to kindly humble myself, honor, and appreciate our CEO Mr. Xolani Mawande and the board that continues to show a great standard of leadership and unconditional work ethic that brings respect and honor to the body and the profession in its entirety.
My name is Sipho Manzini, the 2019 elected SABPP HR Youth Council (HRYC) President. It brings me great joy and humility to address you as a member of this great body that aims to bring a high standard of governance and competence across all aspects of the profession. In a postmodern society where the elements that govern our environments and industries as future HR professionals aiming to become professionals, we must understand these elements as they set the tone and context of our existence as the future pipeline of HR professionals.
With the new dawn of the fourth industrial revolution entering the corporate scene with a pace that is unmeasurable to the human mind, it is in our hands and ability as the youth of the profession to observe and build strategies that will keep us relevant, at the peak of management duties, and innovative in our different avenues.
With the new Strategy comes great responsibility and as the HRYC, it is our responsibility to ensure that the strategy is cascaded to the youth at large. Our vision for the next coming year is ensuing sustainability and innovation in the profession through knowledge gained and shared from all stakeholders that form part of the People Factor Strategy.
“The people factor strategy allows us to become leaders in the corporate space as it aims to emphasize that no matter how much technology advances and no matter how much corporate knowledge we gain, understanding the spiritual, psychological and mental aspects of employees and where they intersect will always be one of the most important elements in creating sustainable organizations and greater stable economy for the country.”
From the depth of my heart, I hope and believe that we will create a new age for our profession, a solid ground for competence, and a body that will outlive us and the next generation. May we continue to aim higher, believe beyond our comprehension, and be beyond what we are right now, for the future awaits us.
Yours sincerely,
Sipho Manzini
HRYC President
